Ineke van Werkhoven, PWS, of Fleetwood, PA, will have a solo exhibit at the Jewish Community Center, 1700 City Line Avenue in Reading, PA. The exhibit will run from October 17 to November 21, 2004.
Nancy Bush, of Moon Township, PA, is having an exhibit at The Watercolors Gallery, 901A Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA from October 2 through November 13, 2004. The exhibit is entitled "Nature Transformed". Gallery hours are from 11 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.
Mel Stabin, PWS-sgg, of Park Ridge, NJ, was invited to be Juror of Selection and Awards for the New Mexico WCS's 2004 National Exhibition and the North East WCS 28th Annual International Exhibition. Mark Cardoza, PWS, of Scottsdale, AZ, has been elected to Signature Membership in the Houston and Texas WCS. His paintings won awards in Hilton Head Art League's 2004 National Exhibiton and WAS-H 2004 International Exhibition. He was also accepted in 2004 California WC Association. National Exhibition; the Texas WCS 2004 Annual Exhibiton; North East WCS 27th Annual International, 23rd Adirondacks National, and the 68th National Midyear at the Butler Institute of American Art Exhibitions.
Beall Rodgers, PWS, of Tenafly, NJ had a painting accepted in the North East WCS 28th International Exhibition and was awarded the Arlington Heights Art Guild Award in the Transparent WCS of America and the painting is reproduced on their website and in their catalogue. He also completed a one man show at the Piermont Fine Arts Gallery in May and a successful exhibition at Gallery 668 in Greenwich, NY.
Carol Pickie, PWS, of Emmaus, PA, won "Best of Show" at the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition and a gold medal at the Baltimore WCS Mid Atlantic Regional Exhibition. She was also accepted in the Arizona Aqueous XIX, Louisiana WCS 34th International, PWS Internationa, Kentucky WCS Aqueous USA, and the National WC Oklahoma Exhibitons.
Rose Marie Strippoli, PWS, of Vermillion, OH won the Doug Pasek Memorial Award of $500 at the Watercolor Ohio 2004. Her painting is now included in the Ohio WCS show traveling throughout illinois for the next year.
Anna Marie Legler, PWS, of Pittsburgh will have a solo exhibiton of her work at the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, New Castle, PA. The exhibition will be held from January 4th through February 25th, 2005 immediately following the PWS International Exhibition.
Sy Ellens, PWS of Kalamazoo, MI, had her works accepted in 30 competions between January and September, 2004 and received the following awards. The Winston Churchill award from Missouri WCS; a Second Place form Ferris State University's All Michigan All Juried Exhibition; at the Rankin Art Gallery; a Finalist in the International Artist Magazine Challenge 19 Landscapes in the February-March 2004 Issue; has a page and technique printed in the book, "How Did You Paint That"; and a painting in the book, "Splash" by North Light Publishing. An article, by Penny H. Briscoe, "Art Makes the Man", is in the September issue of "Encore" magazine. His painting was printed on the postcard announcement for the National WCS's 84th Annual Exhibition at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center at Fullerton, CA. Sy was commissioned to paint a 2200 ft. mural at the New Air Zoo (Aviation Museum) in Kalamazoo, MI.
Lorraine Ptacek, PWS, of Elmhurst, IL, had paintings accepted into the New England WCS 9th Biennial North American Open Show, Vermont; the Pittsburgh WCS Aqueous Open 2004; Georgia WCS 2004 Exhitition; Kentucky WCS 27th Aqueous USA 2004; The Oklahoma Watercolor Association National Exhibition; and the Niagara Frontier WCS Fall Show '04.
Doris Terris, PWS, of Glen Gardner, NJ, won the Johnson and Johnson Gallery One Person award at the Garden State WCS 2004 Juried Show and Jerry's Artarama Award at the members show.
Susan Klinger, of Norristown, PA will have a solo show at the Off the Wall Gallery in Skippack, PA from November 6, 2004 through January 7, 2005. The opening reception will be held Sunday, November 7th from 1 to 5 PM.

Joann Hensell, PWS-sgg, of Harrisburg, PA had two of her watercolor paintings featured in the book 'Speaking for Themselves: The Artists of South Eastern Pennsylvania' written by Daphne S. Landis. The book was published in collaboration with the Chester County Historical Society in 2004. Joann also had work included in the Juried Exhibition at the Lancaster County Art Association and she has a painting included in the exhibition at the Conestoga Historical Society of Lancaster County.
Bob Jorgensen, of Ashland, MA received the 'Award of Excellence' in watercolor in the "Art of New England" show at the Lyme Art Association in Old Lyme, CT. He has also been accepted in several other shows including Cape Cod Art Association, Sixth Biennial Kentucky National Wildlife Art Exhibit, and the New England regional Show. Also on his acceptance list are three shows at the Bennington Center for the Arts in Vermont. These shows are "art of the Animal Kingdom:, the New England WCS National Show, and Impressions of New England. Bob is serving on the selection and awards jury for North Shore Arts Association.
